“We had a 35-year-old, 500 Sq Ft, bi-level, wood deck that needed to be replaced as the boards, supports and posts were old, damaged and rotting. We decided we wanted to go with Trex decking due to the long-term durability and low maintenance. We found RN Construction from Trex’s preferred contractors on their website based on our location. Rick the Owner came out and provided an estimate to perform a complete demo of both levels of the deck and a new build of a 12 X 16 upper deck with stairs to the yard, as we were looking to downsize the deck due to cost and lack of use of a large deck. The quote provided was fair and lower than the 3 other estimates we received. Working with Rick (owner), Hollie (Office Manager), Jake, Kyle, Mike (Crew Leads) and everyone at RN Construction was absolutely amazing. They ensured we were informed and able to provide input at every step of the process. While we were skeptical of having a deck built in the winter due to our lack of knowledge and understanding of the process, they did a great job at educating us of that process, the permits and inspections required as well as explaining that there would be no compromise to the quality and craftmanship of the deck. Once we understood the steps, they took to ensure this and that as a certified Trex deck installer the deck would be backed by a warranty we agreed to move forward with the deck installation in the winter. We got lucky and had relatively warm weather for December\January in Michigan. The deck is now complete and looks amazing. While we won’t be able to get much use out of our amazingly beautiful deck until the spring, we are very excited and extremely happy with how the deck turned out and with RN Construction. Based on our experience with RN Construction we would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to have a deck built/replaced.”
